The Emergency Department Nurse (LVN) is responsible for performing the functions of data collection, planning, and implementing the care of patients with perceived, actual or potential, sudden or urgent, physical or psychosocial problems that are primarily episodic or acute and that occur in a variety of settings. These may require minimal care of life support measures, patient and significant other education, appropriate referral, and knowledge of legal implications. Emergency patients may be neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric with diagnosed, undiagnosed or misdiagnosed problems of varying complexity.

Two-day EDAP approved course at QVC and FPH. Eight hours of pediatric emergency care at QVC and FPH.

One-year clinical experience preferred. Emergency or Critical Care nursing experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills required. Current LVN license in the State of California. BCLS for health care providers required. IV certification is required at date of hire/transer. CLS and PALS Certification within 90 days of hire. Management of Assaultive Behavior or equivalent within 90 days of hire.
