Charge Nurse - Critical Care Unit

Shift: Twelve hour 7a-7p
Qualifications:

• Current licensure as RN in Illinois
• 3 yr experience in specified area
• 1 yr experience on specific unit
• BSN preferred
• Experience as a charge nurse at least one year
• CPR

Job Description:  To assist the unit manager in providing operational and clinical leadership during assigned shift.

Accountabilities:

1. Operational Accountability - Supports the operational accountability for nursing unit during assigned shift.
2. Leadership Accountability - Demonstrates clinical leadership for unit during assigned shift.
3. Quality patient care and satisfaction - Facilitates associate critical thinking and clinical skills to optimize patient outcomes, customer satisfaction and resource management.
