Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is comprised of three distinguished cancer care institutions: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine, and Children?s Hospital & Medical Center. These parties first gathered together in 1972 and formalized their academic relationship and together the three of them have grown and expanded with one primary purpose: to provide patients with premier, patient-focused cancer care, while giving support to cancer clinic research and education, as well as enhancing access to improved cancer interventions. They strive for achieving advanced high standards of cancer care in the region.

Finally, the Children?s Hospital & Regional Medical Center is a leader institute due to its research program in gene therapy, as well as its major regional pediatric inpatient and outpatient services.
