Wenatchee Valley Hospital

Nursing Jobs By State

Wenatchee Valley Hospital is part of Wenatchee Valley Medical Center, a multi-specialty group practice created in 1940 to provide the highest quality healthcare and services. Nowadays, it is the second largest multi-specialty clinic in the Pacific Northwest, consisting of 7 medical facilities. In the specific case of Wenatchee Valley Hospital, it is a 20-bed licensed facility that serves medical and surgical patients, as well as rehabilitation patients. In addition to the network of clinics, they represent a health care system second to none that employs 170 physicians and 1,100 employees.

The staff not only attends the residents of the greater Wenatchee area, but also those of many other communities in north central Washington. While many surgical procedures and other services are available at Wenatchee Valley Hospital, this center does not include an intensive care unit or an emergency room.

The hospital is, however, home to the Rehabilitation Center, which features an interdisciplinary team of professionals accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The rehabilitation programs work under the supervision of physiatrists, who oversee the evaluation, therapy schedule, follow-up contacts, etc. In addition to this, the network boasts, at its different locations, the services of departments such as urology, laboratory, endocrinology, cardiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, family and sports medicine, sleep lab, behavioral medicine, dermatology, optometry, geriatrics and neurology, among many others.

The prospects of finding work in nursing here are encouraging: when you are dealing with a large healthcare group such as this one, it is fairly safe to expect that there will be several job openings. And indeed, this is the case at Wenatchee Valley Hospital, where there were several openings at the time of this writing, not to mention other positions available at the other locations. You do get a very good idea of what you are going to apply for, with very specific indications about the duties associated with the position. You also get the information about the benefits (life insurance, medical/dental insurance, 401k savings plan, etc) and the possibility to apply online, after you download, fill out and submit the application form provided at the website.
