In 1996, Coler Memorial Hospital and Goldwater Memorial Hospital were joined to create the Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility. These two facilities have a mission of providing high quality medical, rehabilitative and long-term care to the New York City residents without regard to source of payment.
Coler-Goldwater offers specialized services in cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, gynecology, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, likewise, pharmacy, physical medicine and rehabilitation which attend neuromuscular, orthopedic, cardiac and pulmonary disorders, additionally, spinal cord and brain injury.
In addition, the facility offers pulmonary medicine, psychiatry (where patients receive cognitive, emotional and spiritual attention in an atmosphere of caring and respect), rheumatology and urology.
