Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is a psychiatric hospital that offers a comprehensive continuum of behavioral healthcare services including residential treatment for children and adolescents and acute programs for children, adolescents and adults. The 196 bed campus style facility of Laurel Ridge is located on 18 acres in San Antonio, Texas. Living units are located at one end of the campus. The facility includes a dining room, a computer lab, a library, ROPES (Reality Oriented Physical Experimental Services) course, a swimming pool, playgrounds, a recreational facility, a gymnasium and a school building.
This psychiatric hospital has a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week crisis intervention, assessment, referral, and admission service called the Access Center. The staff of this Access Center is comprised of psychologists, psychiatric nurses and therapists, who provide confidential assessments and consultation for behavioral, psychiatric, and chemical dependency problems. After the assessment, the staff of the Access Center makes referrals for inpatient or outpatient, partial hospital care based on individual treatment needs.
The Specialized Services offered at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center include Acute crisis stabilization for all ages, Mobile assessment services 24 hours / 7 days a week, Reality Oriented Physical Experimental Services (ROPES), Residential services for sexually offensive adolescent males, residential services for adjudicated adolescent females, residential services for adjudicated (court ordered) adolescent males, bilingual/bicultural residential services for Spanish speaking children and adolescents, and residential services for children.
