El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) is a licensed 165-bed general acute care facility located in El Centro, California. ECRMC is committed to providing the community with high quality healthcare as reflected in its own mission statement "To Provide Healthcare Excellence For The Imperial Valley". ECRMC's Development Department was established to enhance the tradition of philanthropy that founded El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) in the early 1950's and has supported it over the years to the present. As it continues to meet the increasing healthcare needs of the growing communities it serves, the Department facilitates the community's relationship with and sense of ownership of the hospital and extends opportunities for individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations to partner with the hospital through tax-deductible philanthropic gifts and volunteerism.
Recently El Centro Regional Medical Center completed a forty-four million dollar expansion in order to continue providing the community with a state of the art facility. Included in this expansion is the only rooftop heliport in the County allowing ECRMC to provide superior trauma care to its patients. Other expansion features are a new 20-bed Emergency Department, five new and large surgical suites and two large Endoscopy / Broncoscopy Rooms, all with accompanying preparation and recovery patient rooms. An out patient recovery area offering a relaxing landscape and corresponding sound tracks to promote relaxation and recovery.
El Centro Regional Medical Center offers an ample variety of programs and services to better provide the delivery of the highest quality healthcare in the Imperial Valley. Some of the services offered at ECRMC are: the Cardiopulmonary Services Department offers all aspects of respiratory care including EKG monitoring, cardiac ultrasound and electroencephalograms. The Emergency Department is classified as a Level II Basic Emergency Medical Service and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week being staffed with at a minimum of two physicians experienced in emergency care. Surgical services are delivered in five state of the art surgical suites, two dedicated minor procedure (endoscopy) rooms, seven-bed post anesthesia care unit, six-bed recovery lounge and nine preoperative holding beds.
