Titus Regional Medical Center: Meeting your Needs Close to Home

Nursing Jobs By State

In 1949, it was decided that a hospital was going to be built in conjunction with the federal government, and one year later, the land, which later one will house the hospital, was donated.  Thus, in 1953, Titus Regional Medical Center's doors were opened with a 32-bed capacity.  At the very beginning, they relied on 6 physicians, and 30 employees.  However, nine years later, the hospital's capacity was expanded to 52 beds, and in 1967, there got to be 72 beds. In addition, the fact that Titus Regional Medical Center, in 1978, merged with Mt. Pleasant Hospital increased their capacity to 97 beds.  Five years after this merge, Titus Regional added 68 more beds.

These days, Titus Regional Medical Center offers an ICU/CCU of 8 beds, a 7-bed obstetrical unit, a fixed CT Scanner, the Rehabilitation Center, and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Lab, 24-hour emergency medical services, MICU ambulances, 24-hour full-time staff paramedics, 24-hour level III emergency/trauma center, and an electrodiagnostic lab, among many other resources.  Due to the fact that this medical center focuses on providing high-quality services, qualified staff, and the most appropriate facilities, they rely on some educational affiliations, including the one with Northeast Texas Community College and their LVN and RN programs.

Furthermore, the list of services provided by Titus Regional Medical Center encompasses laboratory services, stress testing, physical and respiratory therapy services, cardiac rehabilitation, diabetic teaching, special care nursery for pre-mature infants, orthopedic surgery, gastrointestinal endoscopy, radiology with nuclear scanning, magnetic resonance imaging, urology services, ear, nose, and throat services, oral facial maxillary services, obstetrical services, pediatric services, pathology services, pulmonary rehabilitation,  and speech therapy services, among several others.  Thus, remember that if you live in Dallas and if it so happens to be that you need any of the services mentioned above, there is not a better option for you than Titus Regional Medical Center.
