In 1949, it was decided that a hospital was going to be built in conjunction with the federal government, and one year later, the land, which later one will house the hospital, was donated. Thus, in 1953, Titus Regional Medical Center's doors were opened with a 32-bed capacity. At the very beginning, they relied on 6 physicians, and 30 employees.
