Established in 1975, in Rio Grande Texas, the Starr County Memorial Hospital is a general medical center offering surgical, obstetric, pediatric and medical services in an environment full of quality healthcare to satisfy the well-being of individuals in the community no matter their sex, age, nationality or economic status.
The hospital has the mission of providing health education in preventive medicine and self care respecting their patients? rights and decisions about their health care, as well, to be aware to the changes and challenges to which the network could be exposed, in order to meet the needs of the community in an effective and economical way. Examples of that, is the way in which the Starr County Memorial has made renovations in its Laboratory, Emergency and Obstetrics Departments. All the departments were providing with more space and the Emergency Department has been certified as a Level 4 Trauma Center.
Completing this services, the Starr County Memorial Hospital has three rural clinics: The Roma Family Health Clinic, San Juan Plaza Family Health Clinic, and the Rural Health at Starr County Memorial Hospital, which offers the most complete and advanced services in radiology, laboratory, ambulance and nursing, this service has the objective of fulfilling the needs of the patients in the services of obstetrics, surgery, emergency, pediatrics and GI Lab.
