The Methodist Hospital is located in the Texas Medical Center; it has provided outstanding quality care to Houston as well as to international markets for more than 85 years. This teaching hospital conducts research in innovative technologies and pioneering leading edge medicine. Methodist Willowbrook Hospital was established in the year 2000 with the purpose of extending the expertise and quality of the Methodist Hospital into the Northwest community. When Methodist Willowbrook Hospital began, it was a 119-bed community hospital with pastoral care, 24 hour emergency room, Level II Nursery, a birthing center, a surgery center and inpatient and outpatient services. The services of this hospital continue to expand; in 2004, a digital cardiac catheterization lab and 54 beds were added. This expansion of services will be focusing on a range of health care services that the Northwest community needs.
Methodist Willowbrook Hospital features beds for new moms and inpatients, outpatient treatment areas, diagnostic facilities and doctors' offices. The services that this hospital offers are: Education and Conference Center, Pastoral Services with a chapel and full-time pastor on-site, Health Promotion and Wellness programs such as support groups, educational services and health screenings, Physical/Occupational Therapy at the Methodist Willowbrook Center for Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, more than 400 physicians covering over 30 specialties, Emergency Center with full-service emergency care services, Birthing Services, Surgery including two minor procedure rooms and four surgical suites, and Diagnostic Center.
