The Good Samaritan Hospital is located at Fourth and Walnut Streets in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. It was founded on June 11, 1889 by the St. Katharine Guild of St. Luke?s Episcopal Church, and it is currently a modern, fully-accredited, fully-equipped care facility that has more than 200 beds, complete inpatient and outpatient care, a program for inpatient rehabilitation and several auxiliary services, such as those offered by affiliated institutions, including the Good Samaritan Hospital Dialysis, Inc.
The Good Samaritan Hospital is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian hospital that is run by the community and works for the community. It is governed by a group of business and community leaders whose purpose and mission statement is to offer acute high quality health services, preventative services, and rehabilitative care for all the members of the community without discriminating because of race, creed, nationality, or social or economical status. The Good Samaritan Hospital?s provider and management leadership are aware at all times of the health needs of the community as well as the needs of their employees, volunteers, and medical staff.
