St. John's Hospital Berryville has a 50 bed facility that has more than 240 certificated employees. It provides health care service to Carroll County, Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. In 1997 the hospital affiliated with St. John's Health System. This affiliation improves the service of the hospital. St. John's wants to provide the highest quality health care service and improve the quality of life of the community. SJHB has a dedicated board composed by certificated physicians and surgeons.
St. John's Hospital is a rural setting. It has a wide range of services, such as: cardiology, home health, an hospice, wellness, health education, cardio-pulmonary rehab, diabetic teaching and follow up, support groups; and therapy services including occupational, physical and language, Family Practice, General Surgery, HIV or AIDS, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pathology, Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, and Radiology. It also has some departments such as: medicine, surgery, telemetry, respiratory, intensive care, obstetrics and a certificated Emergency department and provides home medical equipment rental in two different locations, Berryville and Eureka Springs.
St. John's Hospital Berryville receives donations from volunteers, not only of money but also of their time. The hospital obtains more than $600,000 to buy new equipment to improve their technology. The Auxiliary department manages and coordinates the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drives, supplies hand-crocheted booties for babies born at St. John's hospital and supplies crafts, scrubs, and baked goods for their finance raising sales.
