University of Washington Medical Center is located on the University of Washington campus in beautiful Seattle, Washington. University of Washington Medical Center is a 450-bed hospital, and is one of two teaching hospitals for the University of Washington School of Medicine. Having opened in 1959, University of Washington Medical Center has quickly gained a reputation as one of the nation's finest healthcare providers.

U.S. News and World Report, it its 2004 edition touting "America's Best Hospitals", gave University of Washington Medical Center very high marks. The medical center was rated the nation's 8th best hospital (overall). Also, in that same magazine, 13 of the specialties offered by University of Washington Medical Center were rated as being among the best in the nation.
