Parkland Memorial Hospital located in Dallas, Texas is Dallas County's only public hospital. Located at 5201 Harry Hines Blvd., Parkland Memorial Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for students of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

The Regional Burn Center at Parkland is internationally recognized as one of the world's best. Established in 1962, the Burn Center has pioneered many skin grafting techniques, which are used today. Parkland Memorial Hospital has over 990 beds, and in a given year, treats hundreds of thousands of patients. In 2001, Parkland Memorial Hospital admitted over 40,000 patients. Also, in 2001, Parkland treated over 807,000 people on an outpatient basis, and administered emergency room care to over 119,000 people. That very same year, Parkland Memorial Hospital delivered over 15,000 babies.
