Newton Medical Center is a 103-bed, not-for-profit facility dedicated to providing health care services to residents of Harvey and surrounding counties. Newton, Kansas is a city based around the history of the west and the railroad. Incorporated in 1872 with the establishment of the western terminal for the Santa Fe Railroad there, Newton has been a city of history every since.

Newton is located in the "bull's eye" of the North American continent and is dissected by the Meridian Highway, US 81. It covers 11.7 square miles and has a population of over 17,000 people.

Newton is home to the beautiful Sand Creek which boasts an 18-hole public golf course, as well as a series of bike trails and scenic hiking trails. Newton is also home to the Blue Sky Sculpture, and many other notable attractions.
