New York Presbyterian Hospital is one of our nation's leading hospitals. New York Presbyterian Hospital is composed of renowned medical centers: Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. The hospital has 2369 beds, and has the distinction of being a teaching hospital for two Ivy League institutions' schools of medicine: Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

In an average year, New York Presbyterian will deliver 11,455 babies. Also, the hospital will have over 95,000 inpatient discharges, 825,000+ outpatient visits, 170,000+ emergency room visits, and 40,000+ ambulatory surgeries (in a typical year).

Centers of Excellence at New York Presbyterian include: Cancer; Cardiovascular; Neurosciences; Transplants; Psychiatry; and Pediatrics.

In the 2004 issue of U.S. News and World Report, that rated "America's Best Hospitals", New York Presbyterian Hospital was ranked as the 8th best hospital in the country. Also, different specialties within New York Presbyterian Hospital were nationally ranked. Those specialties and their national rankings: Kidney Disease- 6th best in the country; Geriatrics- 15th best; Urology- 6th best; Pediatrics- 5th best; Respiratory Disorders- 18th best; Psychiatry- 2nd best; Orthopedics- 12th best; Neurology and Neurosurgery- 4th best; Heart and Heart Surgery- 7th best; Hormonal Disorders- 11th best; Gynecology- 9th best; Digestive Disorders- 29th best; Cancer Treatment- 26th best; Rehabilitation- 18th best; Rheumatology- 14th best; Ophthalmology- 18th best.

In order to have a great national ranking like that, you have to have a great staff of doctors, nurses, and support employees. And, New York Presbyterian Hospital does have that. As a matter of fact, in the book "America's Top Doctors", published by Castle Connolly each year, New York Presbyterian Hospital has more doctors in the 2003 edition, than any other U.S. hospital.

If you are a nurse looking for work, New York Presbyterian Hospital has numerous staff positions that are open (at press time). This is a great hospital in what many consider to be the greatest city in the world, so do not delay...apply today.
