Lenox Hill Hospital, located at 100 E. 77th Street in New York City (Manhattan's Upper East Side),   Those Centers of Excellence are: Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute of New York; Orthopedic Surgery/Sports Medicine; Internal Medicine/Maternal and Child Health; Ophthamology/Otolaryngology.

The magazine U.S. News and World Report, in its' annual issue on "America's Best Hospitals," ranks the Heart and Heart Surgery care provided by Lenox Hill Hospital as being the 27th best in the nation. (That ranking is in the July 2004 issue on hospital rankings).

And the AARP, in its' publication, Modern Maturity, included Lenox Hill Hospital in its list of the TOP 50 HOSPITALS IN AMERICA. (The rankings were done by Consumer's Checkbook, a consumer group). In the rankings, Lenox Hill was rated the 16th best hospital in the country. The rankings are based on criteria such as: physician ratings (how doctors rated a particular hospital), accreditation score given by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, surgical mortality rates, and medical mortality rates.

Also, Solucient, a healthcare information and research company, named Lenox Hill Hospital, as one of the nation's Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals. The rankings were listed in the October 2002 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine.

Being considered one of our country's best hospitals is proof indeed, that Lenox Hill Hospital has a tremendous staff. The doctors, nurses, and employees who work there, are dedicated to providing the best healthcare available...period.
