St. Luke's Hospital San Francisco

Nursing Jobs By State

St. Luke's Hospital has been providing quality health services to all San Franciscans for over 130 years. The hospital is furnished with a total of 260 certified beds. The facility located on Cesar Chavez Street in San Francisco, California, is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. St. Luke's capable and caring staff is uniquely culturally qualified to provide high quality health care with dignity to all San Franciscans. St. Luke's Hospital is an affiliate of Sutter Health, one of the nation's leading not-for-profit networks of community-based health care providers, delivering high quality care in more than 100 Northern California communities. Sutter Health supports more than two dozen locally run acute care hospitals and physician organizations, medical research facilities, physician and nurse education programs, and region-wide home health, hospice and occupational health services.

St. Luke's Hospital was founded by a physician of good will and by the gift of a $5 gold piece in 1871 as Episcopal minister Thomas Brotherton shared his dream of founding the first Episcopal Hospital in California to a female parishioner (who gave him the $5 gold piece). The hospital campus and buildings have gone through many transformations since 1871, but throughout the years St. Luke's Hospital has continually provided compassionate healthcare services. Today, St. Luke's Hospital serves all of San Francisco, but primarily residents from the Mission District, Bernal Heights, Bayview Hunters Point, Excelsior, Ingleside, Glen Park and Noe Valley neighborhoods.

St. Luke's Hospital offers a full range of programs and services including: Breast Health Center Cardiac Care, Cardio/Neuro Laboratory, Cardiovascular Center, Chaplaincy Services, Charity Care Policy, Child Development & Therapy, Emergency Department & Prompt Care, The Hand Clinic, Hospitalist Program, Laboratory Locations, Mammography, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Outpatient Surgery Center, Palliative Care, Rehabilitation Therapy, Respiratory Diagnostics & Therapy, Senior Services, SubAcute Care Program, Web Nursery and Women's & Children's Services.
