The origins of Central Washington Hospital date to the early 1900s with the establishment of Central Washington Deaconess Hospital and St. Anthony?s Hospital. In 1974, the two organizations fused to form Central Washington Health Services Association. The St. Anthony facility?s name was then changed to Rosewood Hospital in 1978 and the facilities combined their operations at the remodeled and expanded Rosewood Hospital site under the name Central Washington Hospital. Central Washington Hospital enjoys a rich tradition of distinction in quality care and medical expertise. Through years of community development, building additions, and major advances in medical technology, these practices have continued.

Central Washington Hospital includes services in inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac program, coronary and intensive care, respiratory care, oncology, dialysis, neonatal nursery, home health and hospice, regional trauma emergency department, skilled nursing and rehabilitative services such as cardio-pulmonary, physical, speech, and occupational therapies. The hospital counts with the following centers of excellence: The Heart Center, the Orthopedics Center, the Family Childbirth Center and the emergency department and trauma center (the only Level II Adult Trauma Center in North Central Washington).
