Nursing Jobs By State

Hiring Travel Nurses

Located in Kitsap County, WA, Harrison Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital that has been providing its services to Kitsap, Jefferson and North Mason Counties ever since 1918. Nowadays, it consists of 3 campuses, employs 350 physicians and over 1,800 employees, making it the largest private employer in the county. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) since 1972, Harrison Medical Center is a state-of-the-art medical facility (having completed a $13 million expansion and renovation of the Bremerton Emergency Department in 2004) committed to reaching the highest standards of quality. This commitment will remain in the coming years, following the directives of the strategic plan, Vision 2010, that calls for the expansion of the hospitals in Bremerton and Silverdale.

Three core values dictate the direction of all efforts made by this organization: Empathy, Innovation and Accountability. The services provided are divided in basic areas: Emergency (featuring the only Level III Trauma Center in the county), Surgery (performing 1,000 procedures a month), Cardiology (including echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, etc), Oncology (to treat cancer patients), Mother and Baby (suited labor, delivery and recovery), Home Health (including occupational therapy, wound management, etc), Rehab (suited to help in the recovery of traumatic injuries, diabetic ulcers, etc), General Services (such as respiratory care, imaging services, etc), Sleep Center (to deal with sleep disorders) and Orthopedics Services (including advanced surgical treatment).

As far as working in this place, the prospects are good: there is a need for nurses pretty much in all 3 locations, and you get all the necessary information about the position, and the application process is totally smooth, since you can apply online. Benefits include 403(b) tax-sheltered savings plan and retirement plan among others.
