The Lompoc Healthcare District is completely licensed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and approved by the State of California Department of Health Services. Other certifications feature the American College of Radiology (Radiology), American Association of Blood Banks (Blood Bank) and College of American Pathologist (Laboratory). The Medical Staff consists of 104 licensed, skilled medical doctors who hold on to the stringent health standards of the Lompoc Healthcare District and the State of California. Eighty-eight percent of these team members have had supplementary training and are board licensed in their specialty department. These doctors correspond to a broad range of subspecialties and specialties, guaranteeing that, excluding in only some cases where very specialized care is required, residents will not have to seek health care far from house.
The Lompoc Healthcare District was the initial operating health care region recognized in California and was established in 1946 by the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors. The Center now consists of a 110-bed expert nursing center and a contemporary sixty-bed, all-purpose acute care center. In concert, these centers offer an enormous collection of quality outpatient and inpatient services, medical promotion and preservation programs, in addition to geriatric long-standing care for District patients.
