As the training health center for the University of Nebraska Medical Center, this 689 accredited bed center has a worldwide status for offering bone marrow and solid organ transplantation services and is recognized regionally and all over the country for its cardiology, neurology and oncology plans.

The Nebraska Medical Center is dedicated to provide concerned, superiority resident care and is the foundation stone of The Nebraska Medical Center. The 689 bed not-for-profit health center is identified for superiority and modernization in medicine. As the most important training facility for the University of Nebraska Medical Center, it is a valued manager in solid organ transplantation, oncology, radiation oncology, burn care, neurology, bone marrow transplantation and cardiology. With a history since 1869, the program's 950 doctors practice in all specialties across 5 main metropolis where it serves.

The Nebraska Medical Center, one of just two licensed trauma facilities in western Iowa and Nebraska, takes care of residents from across the area. The Emergency Room offers the only completely staffed, continuous emergency care in West Omaha. A heliport provides for seriously ill and injured residents with a rapid entrance to The Nebraska Medical Center?s Emergency Department.
