Corona Regional Medical Center is an official member of the Universal Health Services, Inc. system of hospitals. Universal Health Services (UHS) is one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare companies. In addition to acute care hospitals like Corona Regional Medical Center, they operate behavioral health facilities, ambulatory surgery centers and radiation centers nationwide. The company, which was established in 1978, currently has over 26,000 employees, all of whom are committed to providing quality health care to the communities they serve.

With the founding of Corona Community Hospital, a tradition of caring was materialized in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center founded in 1933. Since that time, the hospital has evolved to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital combined with Circle City Medical Center, and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center in 1992. The Hospital is now a 228-bed facility on two campuses, and it provides wide-ranging healthcare services. It is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, employs over 1000 trained healthcare workers, and has a Medical Staff of approximately 300 physicians representing over 40 specialties.

Corona Regional Medical Center offers a full spectrum of health care services displaying the most comprehensive and extensive primary care services of any other area hospital. The Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Program at Corona Regional Medical Center offers medical or surgical treatment without the use of banked (stored), allogenic blood or major blood components through techniques such as synthetic erythropoietin, micro sampling, volume expanders, cell saver system, electrocautery and electrosurgical coagulator among others. The Cancer Center is dedicated to improving the patients' quality of life through a complete range of cancer related services, including education, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and research. The Emergency Department at Corona Regional Medical Center is a specialized department designed for patients with acute or traumatic illnesses or injuries, staffed by Board Certified physicians and nurses who are trained in cardiac life support and is available 24/7.
