St. Rose Hospital is part of a longstanding tradition of service and deep commitment. Indeed, its roots can be traced as far back as the 18th century humanitarian labor of the Sisters of St Joseph. It wasn?t until 1953, however, that the endeavor of creating a hospital in the southern Alameda County was seriously considered, as the needs of the Hayward community were increasing. Opened in 1962, St. Rose Hospital has now over 40 years of offering high quality health care. Nowadays, St. Rose Hospital is an acute, general, not-for-profit, 175-bed facility attending the health requirements of the population of southern Alameda County and other nearby areas. St. Rose Hospital offers primary and secondary medical/surgical services as well as superior nursing care.
