Community Medical Center-Clovis

Nursing Jobs By State

Community Medical Center-Clovis is a technologically advanced, 109-bed acute-care facility opened in 1988. The hospital offers a wide selection of medical and surgical treatments, a cardiac catheterization laboratory, the Surgical Videoscopic Center of Excellence, 24-hour emergency care, urgent care and a critical care unit. Moreover, Community Medical Center-Clovis offers a birth center, which is recognized as one of the region's premier facilities for labor, delivery and general women's health services.

Community Medical Centers have a long history of serving the health-care needs of the people who live in central California. Its roots extend to the turn of the century and the compassion and vision of one woman called Celia Burnett; resulting in what today is known as an integrated system of facilities and services. In 1897, Burnett opened a boardinghouse for men who had left their families in search of fortune in the West.

When these travelers became ill, Burnett nursed them back to health. As word of Burnett's boardinghouse spread, a group of Fresno physicians joined forces with her to found a private, for-profit hospital marking the beginning of the Community Medical Centers legacy. Community continues to thrive by providing health care to the people of the Central Valley more than a century later.

Community Medical Center-Clovis offers a wide array of health care services such as: Cardiac rehabilitation that helps carry daily activities for people who suffer from a heat condition. The Community Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program offers healing to people who suffer from emphysema, chronic bronchitis or asthma respiratory disorders known as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Also, Community Medical Centers provides skilled physical therapists that focus on the patient's mobility and an inpatient rehabilitation program that helps disabled patients recover.
