This non-profit organization called The Methodist Hospital System is based in Houston, Texas. At the beginning, they were working with just their initial entity named The Methodist Hospital. Nevertheless, they have grown so much that, today, they rely on a comprehensive network of community-based hospitals. The hospitals that belong to The Methodist Hospital System are The Methodist Hospital, located in Houston; The Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, which is situated in Sugar Land; the Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, also in Houston; and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, situated in Baytown.
The Methodist Hospital System makes a wide-ranging diversity of not only specialized departments, but also centers of excellence available in their facilities. These centers are the Methodist DeBakey Heart Center, Multi Organ Transplant Center, and Methodist Neurological Institute. In spite of the fact that it would be impossible to mention of all their medical areas, some of the most outstanding are otolaryngology head & neck, sleep disorders center, nuclear medicine, laparoscopic surgery, audiology and speech pathology, cardiothoracic surgery, travel medicine, oral and maxillofacial hospital dentistry, urology, occupational and physical therapy, education and retail center, among others.
The Methodist Hospital System, besides being affiliated with the Texas Annual Conference (belonging to the United Methodist Church), they work in conjunction with other churches of the areas in order for their endeavors to be compassionate and spiritual since their major goal is to go beyond the rest of the hospitals.
