The Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (MHHS) began approximately 100 years ago in Houston, TX. However, it was in the late 90's when both Memorial and Hermann traced their efforts to create a better health care system in the area of Houston and operate more medical centers to help the residents of that city. The result was amazing; today, the MHHS is one of the biggest non profit health care systems in the US. One of the facilities that this system operates is the Memorial Hermann Fort Bend Hospital (MHFBH), which is located in Missouri City.
This hospital provides its services to the residents of east Fort Bend County and southwest Houston. The hospital is managed by over 200 physicians who are specialized in several fields of medicine. The MHFBH is placed in one of the fastest growing counties of the US. This medical center counts with 84 beds for acute care. Other services that the hospital provides are heart care, breast health services, a 24 hour emergency center, diagnostic imaging, orthopedic rehabilitation and outpatient physical and occupational therapy, among others.
The hospital is currently enlarging its installations; they are constructing a new building in Sugar Land to provide better services to the users of this facility.
