Hamilton Hospital: The Best Option for Iowa's Health

Nursing Jobs By State

In Iowa, there is a medical center that, for one hundred years has provided the community of Hamilton County with high quality healthcare services and medical facilities: Hamilton Hospital. The history of this medical center starts in 1903 when the former building was constructed on the east side of the current facility. The Sisters of Mercy and the St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital of Dubuque were in charge of the building until 1927, when they abandoned it because it was in very bad conditions; therefore, in 1930, the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors invested $100,000 and rebuilt the hospital on a 3-acre area, near the old building.

Through the years, Hamilton Hospital has expanded its physical and technological facilities for the benefit of the whole community, distributing the aid to the residents, and educating them on significant issues regarding healthcare and healthy lifestyles. Nowadays, it is located in Webster City, Iowa; there are more than 225 employees and has room up to 25 patients, totally accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and certified by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals as a Critical Access hospital.

The available departments and services they offer include: emergency department and emergency medical services, laboratory, patient accounts, rehabilitation services, specialty clinics, surgery, volunteer services, cardiac rehabilitation, corporate health, sleep lab, diabetes and dietary education, nursing, obstetrics, pharmacy, radiology, respiratory therapy social services, among others.

There are many job opportunities for those who want to grow professionally; people find many benefits, such as competitive salary, life insurance, continuing education reimbursement, and so on. Since Hamilton Hospital promotes high ethical standards and quality, the values they believe in could not be others but excellence, accountability, compassion and hospitality.
