Striving to give the best to every patient, Good Shepherd Medical Center is a 412-bed regional referral center for specialized care in cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, urology, gastroenterology, rehabilitation and emergency services.

The Good Shepherd Medical Center Auxiliary was charted in 1956 and now has over 200 members. The Good Shepherd Guild was established in 1984; it is comprised of 60 women who volunteer their time and energy to enhance the quality of health care in East Texas through their support of Good Shepherd Medical Center. The Good Shepherd Foundation was established in 1986 to promote the improvement of regional health services by encouraging philanthropic support of needed programs, facilities, services and activities of Good Shepherd Medical Center. The Good Shepherd Heart Center opened in 1987 providing regional residents with complete cardiovascular services. The Good Shepherd Prospectors, founded in 1989, is an organization of professional men who volunteer their time on behalf of the Medical Center.

Striving to provide the best healthcare possible, Good Shepherd Medical Center makes available a diversity of services like: cardiology; from open heart surgery to the latest in cardiac catheterization, no facility performs more heart procedures in Northeast Texas than Good Shepherd Medical Center. Pulmonary Rehabilitation combines professionals from many disciplines to offer education and exercise assistance to individuals with respiratory problems.
