The clinic and hospital were established in 1931 in Texas. In 1987, Humana re-placed the health care facility from Bryan to its present site in 1997 and in 1998 the center was re-called College Station Medical Center and submitted to in the district as The Med. All the way through the years, The Med has recognized itself as a steady district hospital with an outstanding status for superiority care. The Med has incessantly worked to increase the intensity of health care in the Brazos Valley and bring in cardiology services in the eighties. A decade afterward, the center began to center on new methods and built specialty and primary care agencies on its property. The Med offers a full selection of medical services that features specialty, obstetrics, pediatrics, general and cardiac surgery, cancer treatment, outpatient rehabilitation and inpatient physical rehabilitation. As well, a dialysis facility is placed on the property.
