In 1950, Pampa Regional Medical Center began its operations owned by Gray County. Some time after, specifically in 1979, the hospital was renamed Coronado Hospital when they bought a new facility. The current Pampa Regional Medical Center is the result of the merger of Coronado Hospital and a facility acquired in 1987 that took place in 1995. Pampa Regional Medical Center's healthcare experience dates back to 1975. Therefore, more than 31 years of hard work support this organization.

Pampa Regional Medical Center has 115 licensed beds, all of them in service right now. This facility assists a population of 65,167 patients who come from Pampa, Gray County and neighbors of that area. Currently managed by Triad, this center has focused in the development of some specific projects to enhance the quality of services such as radiology, physical rehab, OBGyn, ER and Day Surgery. Moreover, these projects are intended to add new services: cardiac and inpatient physical rehabilitation.

Pampa Regional Medical Center offers a great variety of services within five departments: Women's Center, Emergency Center, MRI, Acute Rehab, Golden Phoenix. Moreover, they offer the following services: 24-Hour Emergency Room, Cardiology, Extended Care Unit, Fulltime Dietitian, Fulltime Social Worker, Geriatric Psychiatry, Heart Catheterization, Intensive Care Unit, Laparoscopic Surgery, Mammography, MRI, Orthopedics, Pathology, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Ultrasound, Volunteer Auxiliary and Women's Health Clinic.

To offer a comprehensive care for women of all ages, Pampa Regional Medical Center created the Women's Center with the best choices for women since they offer the care and service that better fit the specific needs women have. With their Emergency Center, the hospital is ready to assist any emergency 24 hours, 7 days a week. Since 2001, now the hospital has Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Finally, for those who need to recover from sad accidents and diseases, Pampa Regional Medical Center offers Acute Rehab Center to help them handle daily activities.
