The Ballinger Memorial Hospital (BMH) was established in the actual site located in the city of Ballinger, Texas on January 1st, 1963. The hospital is built on an area of 635 square miles and offers its services to more than 8,500 residents of the region. The hospital also counts with a Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds and a taxing district acquired on January 31st, 1990.
The BHM provides several outpatient health care services, swing and acute bed care and this medical center is also certified as level IV trauma hospital. Some of those outpatient services provided by the BMH are: wound care, psych clinic, physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, ambulance services as well as routine outpatient laboratories and wellness center, ultrasound and radiology.
