Nursing Jobs By State

Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island is a Care New England hospital and one of the leaders in specialty health care hospitals for women and newborns in the United States. It is the 10th largest obstetrical care center in the country with nearly ten thousand deliveries per year, and serves as the main teaching affiliate of Brown Medical School in obstetrics, gynecology, and newborn pediatrics. In 2003, the United States Department of Health and Human Services recognized Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island and Brown University as a National Center of Excellence in Women?s Health.

Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island was founded in 1884 with the limited purpose of serving as a maternity hospital where women could deliver their babies safely. Two years later, the institution relocated to the corner of State and Field Streets, growing and expanding the facilities, and in 1926, Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island moved again to 50 Maude Street, where they grew further and is their home until today. The original facilities were expanded, largely renovated and modernized throughout the years to keep pace with the needs of the community and the new medical advances. Today, Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island has one of the best health care facilities for women in the United States.
