Nursing Jobs By State

For 100 years, United Methodist Homes has carried on a tradition of service by providing healthcare options and dignified housing for senior adults. United Methodist Homes has a foundation of spirituality that allows people to have several options, maintain their independence, rehabilitate from sickness or injury and play an important role within the community. They have a vision; they want to perpetuate the quality of life for all mankind by providing a continuum of services that support dignity, independence and health. United Methodist Homes promotes values such as: Respect, Spirituality, Excellence, Collaboration and Stewardship.

Professional Care Management for Seniors at Home is an initiative of United Methodist Homes that is designed to help older adults and their families with several issues. Professional Care managers help families assess care needs, evaluate options, arrange services such as adult day care, call-for-aid telephone service, transportation, chore services and home care, collaborate with financial, legal and medical advisers, provide assistance with insurance claims and bill paying, provide emotional support in times of change and illness and arrange for nursing home admissions, assisted living and short-term respite care.

United Methodist Homes provides hospice services through Hospice Volunteers of Northwest Connecticut and Bishop Wicke Health Center. Hospice Volunteers of Northwest Connecticut provides trained volunteers that help each patient have a comfortable life, support their families, provide emotional support, companionship and transportation and assist with shopping and household chores. If you or someone that you know wants to be a volunteer, consider that new volunteers are always welcome.
