As the country's biggest not for income long-standing care association, its objective is to distribute God's Love in deed and word by offering supportive and shelter services to elder people and others impoverished, trust that "In Christ's Love, Everyone Is Someone". It also began working with minister leaders in rural and small areas in the beginnings of the twenties, answering to the need to care for their "forgotten" people, those who had no other choices for concern and no one to think about them. The Society's creator, the Rev. August Hoeger, started the primary Good Samaritan facilities for epileptic kids in a six-room residence in 1923.

 

Today, the Society possesses or administers Christian Communities of Care in twenty-five states, provides work for 24,000 personnel members and offers service to over 28,000 patients. The enormous mass of those the Society supplies are old, but they also provide others impoverished. They provide housing choices that feature congregate living, basic care, assisted living, nursing beds and independent living. Healthcare features, boarding sub acute care and skilled nursing; home health care; outpatient and physical, occupational, intravenous, respiratory and speech therapies. Other singular services features Alzheimer's special care facilities, adult day care, hospice care and respite care. All Society facilities are prepared to offer spiritual service to families, residents, and the nearby communities.
