College Station Medical Center was formerly a hospital and a clinic founded in the year 1931 by Dr. LO. Wilkerson; its former location was 27th & Regent Street, in Bryan, Texas. Nowadays, and since 1997, it was relocated to its modern location to facilitate the outstanding services and provide the community with a high level of health care satisfaction and leading edge technology.

Commonly known as The Med, this medical center has developed new strategies and in 1987 introduced the First Cardiac Catheterization Lab in the region of Brazos Valley, being this center expanded in 1995.

On April 19th, 1998 the latter Columbia Medical Center was renamed to its present and rededicated College Station Medical Center (The Med). The value for their patients' comfort, security and recovery, and the support and compassion for their families are College Station Medical Center's first priorities. They work with integrity and hold the best of medical equipment to guarantee complete satisfaction.
