Bartlett Regional Hospital began in 1886 when the Sisters of Saint Ann, Zenon, Bon Secours and Victor decided to help communities in Alaska. It was an 80 bed acute facility. Today, all the expansion of the campus is believed to be finished soon; including building and remodeling all the structure and some departments. The entire environment is designed to be dynamic and to provide comfort to patients; meeting all the needs of the community.
Bartlett Regional Hospital offers services such as: anesthesiology, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, a critical care unit, diagnostic imaging, emergency, food services, health information management, industrial rehabilitation, infection control, infusion and chemotherapy, Juneau recovery hospital, laboratory, medical and surgical unit, physical rehabilitation in-patient, a mental health unit, nutrition services, an obstetrics unit, physical rehabilitation services (physical, occupational and speech therapies), patient education, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, same day care unit, sleep lab, social work services, surgical services, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pathology, pediatrics, plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery, podiatry and utilization review.
It also provides administrative service like: administration compliance, facilities management, general accounting, human resources and quality, information systems management, materials management, patient access services, patient care services, patient financial services, physician office billing, project management, QI RISK management and staff development and outreach.
