Doylestown Hospital was established in 1923 by the Village Improvement Association (V.I.A.). It was an 8 bed facility. Then, it received the license for 165 beds. It also acquired Pine Run Health Care Center and Pine Run Lakeview in 1992. By 1998, it had acquired 500 beds, and was recognized nationally as the only Women's Club to operate a community hospital.
