Doylestown Hospital is a health care facility committed to provide services to the communities of the northern suburbs of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (Bucks, Montgomery, Hunterdon and Mercer).

 

Doylestown Hospital was established in 1923 by the Village Improvement Association (V.I.A.). It was an 8 bed facility.  Then, it received the license for 165 beds. It also acquired Pine Run Health Care Center and Pine Run Lakeview in 1992. By 1998, it had acquired 500 beds, and was recognized nationally as the only Women?s Club to operate a community hospital.

 

Doylestown Hospital clinic emphasis includes cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, maternal child health, emergency medicine, critical and cancer care, radiology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, pulmonary, urology and rehabilitation.

 

Doylestown Hospital is fully equipped to attend the needs of cardiac patients. It has 2 cardiovascular surgery suites with the latest technology, 7 bed for cardiac CCU, 2 new cardiac catheterization laboratories, 14 bed post interventional nursing unit support, Light speed Helical CT Scanner, MRI and interventional radiology suite.

 

Doylestown Hospital staff is composed of more than 370 specified professional staff divided in 40 specialty areas as physicians and dentists. Its specialty areas comprise of cardiac surgery, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, radiology, maternal child health, oncology, rehabilitation, urology, pulmonology and general and vascular surgery.
